How to Tie a Kandangi Saree?
The Kandangi saree looks very elegant and beautiful when worn on the right way. But most of the times, the Kandangi sarees do not look good on their wearers because they are not wearing it in the right way. It needs to be worn properly otherwise it will not suit you well at all. Today, I am going to help you with your Kandangi saree tying process by telling you how to tie it the right way so that you can have a dashing look at your party or wedding ceremony or any other important occasion that you are going to attend.
Where to buy
A Kandagi Saree is so easy to buy and you can purchase them from your local Indian store. If your are unable to find one near you check online at Amazon.
The quality of fabric may vary online but if you find one in your area it is much better in terms of quality than what may be available online. To buy a saree ask for a Kannadagi Saree, or else they might get confused and give you something different than what you want.
This type of fabric usually doesn’t come with an attached blouse, but it will have 4-5 meters (13 feet) long kanchuki that would otherwise be used as clothing underneath. This could be difficult to work with, but by following these steps you should easily master how to tie a Kandangi saree!
Wrapping around your body
The tradition of draping a saree begins with wrapping it around your body. Some women choose to wear an unstitched blouse before putting on their drape, and others choose not to. The two ends of your sari should now be hanging down at about knee length.
It’s time for what is possibly one of the most fascinating bits—tieing your pallu (the loose end). This can be done in various ways but remember that we’re here to teach you how to tie a Kandangi Saree properly so bear with us!
Hold onto your top pallu near its edge with both hands, raise it upwards and then bring it over your head (do not tuck it into your blouse yet!) like in image 1 below.
Drape it over your shoulder
This step isn’t listed in many guides on how to tie a Kandangi saree, but I think it’s crucial because if you start by tying it around your neck like most people do, you won’t have enough room left at the end of your scarf.
Instead, drape it over your shoulder like I am doing in these pictures; that way you can start off with several inches of fabric extra before wrapping. Be sure that whatever part is draped over your left shoulder (in my case) will be closer to your chest and head so you can hide it away later!

Completing the look
Fashion is about completing an ensemble, and when you don’t know how to complete a look, it’s difficult for people around you to take your outfit seriously. If you want people to take your fashion sense seriously and consider going out of their way to compliment your outfits,
here are three ways that you can make sure everything looks complete: * How To Tie A Kandangi Saree The Right Way; * Stylish Ways To Pair A Saree With Shorts; * Easy Style Hacks For Girls. Tying a Kandangi saree involves folding it in half and then wrapping it around your waist. While there are other ways to do so,
we recommend starting with one corner at a time. Take one corner of your saree from either side (right or left) and pull them across each other at shoulder level before bringing them down to waist level. You should now have one long piece of fabric on each side with two loose ends in front of you.
