If you are playing with a Sim, there is a chance that they will get a random action called Clean House, which asks them to clean your house. If you don’t want your sims to be your Maid Outfit, all you have to do is change one thing in their traits. Don’t take care of your sim and make sure that they stay unhappy. Then at some point they will automatically quit their job and do something else. Note: This works on community lots as well. There might be an option for them to quit from their phone menu or by clicking on yourself when they are visiting your lot. Good luck!
